reputation

i wish i could just get rid of my past sometimes. however well it has built me up to be the person i am today, some of the bad stuff i could do without. stuff that causes my reputation to limit my opportunities. like.. maybe if i didn't have that reputation of no commitment, nobody would need to give me the chance to change and risk their own rep. it's just pretty sad.

Reputation is the overall quality or character as seen or judged by people in general. It concerns the recognition by other people of some characteristic or ability, such as being clever, clumsy, honest or dishonest. Reputation concerns a place in public esteem, i.e. how a person is regarded. (-Rick Archer)
